What’s 'geoso voting' in Korea?

 

건강상의 이유로 투표소에 직접 갈 수 없는 사람들이

집에서 하는 부재자투표라고 보면 돼.

It’s like absentee voting from home

for people who can’t go to a polling place

because of health issues.

 

거소투표는 병원, 요양원, 또는 집에서 우편으로 투표할 수 있어. 

Those people can cast their vote by mail

from hospitals, nursing homes, or at home.

외국에 있는 사람들은 어떻게 하지? 🤔

What if someone's staying abroad on Election Day?

 

대사관이나 영사관 같은 곳에서

미리 투표할 수 있는 해외 투표 제도가 있어.

There's an overseas voting system where you can vote

at embassies or consulates before the election.

그리고 '선상투표'도 있어.

There's also something called 'onboard voting'.

 

배에서 일해서 선거일에 투표소에 못 가는

사람들을 위해 배 위에서 미리 투표하는 제도야.

It’s for people who work on ships

They can vote while they’re still onboard.
